Building alone is real. Practice rooms by specialty — plus a Quiet Room when you need to ask without a name.
Eleven rooms, live inside Evensteer — five by practice, five by subject, and the Quiet Room. What you see below is an illustration of how a room reads, not real members’ words: those stay inside.
Your first room is decided by the work you actually do, not by a box you tick. A coach lands with coaches. Someone running an internal mentoring programme lands with the people who run internal mentoring programmes. That room is small on purpose — the problems in it are your problems, and nobody has to explain the basics.
The open rooms are the other axis. Pricing, getting found, leads, programme structure, and what AI has actually done to this work. A freelancer and an L&D lead can sit in the same pricing room and both be right, because the subject is the same even when the practice isn’t. You join those yourself, and you leave them yourself.
No AI writes a post here on anyone’s behalf. Ever. Every word in every room was written by the person whose name sits above it — the same rule that governs everything on the Desk. A share carries the author’s name with it. Report and block work from day one, and a person reads what gets flagged.
Every profession has questions its people can’t ask out loud. What you actually charge. The client relationship that has gone wrong. The month you couldn’t pay yourself. Whether you are any good at this. On every other network those questions stay unasked, because your name — and your clients — are watching.
In the Quiet Room any member can post without a name on it. The room sees the question and never the asker. Answers come back privately, only the asker reads them, nothing ever appears on a profile, and we hold it unlinked at our end too.
An anonymous question doesn’t stay in one room either. It reaches members across every Roundtable room and the Roster, because the person who has sat exactly where you are might not share your job title. The freelancer frightened of chasing an invoice gets read by the studio owner who did chase it. You never learn who answered from where. You just get the answers.
It isn’t only about work. If what’s actually going on is heavier than a business problem, the room says so plainly and points you at people rather than at posts. Moderators take private messages, and there is a member line answered by a person.
Finds the thread that answered this, and the person who lived it. The two exchanges below are illustrations — the names in them are not real members.
This is not the same agent that runs your business. The other assistant does the work of your business, drafting the client emails and invoices that go out with your name on them once you approve. I never write in your voice and nothing I do leaves this room; I only help you find what the room already worked out and who in it can help.
Four rooms, one door in — and we hold the door.
Members come from the people we build for. Start there, and let the work speak.

This is only for our members — we can’t allow you more than this.
What you’ve been reading is the public end of each room. The rest — the replies, the names, and everything in the Quiet Room — stays inside, with the people we’ve chosen.
